Services
The Joint Microbiome Facility (JMF) offers researchers interested in clinically-relevant and environmental microbiome research support during all stages of DNA and RNA sequencing based microbiome research – from experimental design, over sample processing to data analysis.
The high-throughput sequencing services currently available at the JMF include:
- Illumina MiSeq-based highly multiplexed gene amplicon sequencing (e.g., 16S rRNA genes, 18S RNA genes, ITS region).
- Illumina MiSeq-based microbial isolate genome sequencing.
- Illumina HiSeq-/NovaSeq-based (meta-)genome and (meta-)transcriptome sequencing.
Furthermore, Oxford Nanopore technologies (long read sequencing) are currently being established at the JMF, and will soon be available to collaborators.
